Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) of Universitas Negeri Semarang continues to demonstrate its commitment to clean, transparent, and accountable institutional governance through a Public Campaign for Integrity Zone Development held within the faculty environment. This initiative is part of a strategic effort to achieve the status of Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) and Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Zone (WBBM).

The public campaign involved the entire academic community—lecturers, education staff, and students—as a means of strengthening the culture of integrity and excellent service within FBS. Through this activity, FBS reaffirms its dedication to building a professional, innovative, and public-service-oriented work system.

Dr. Muhamad Burhanudin, M.A., Head of the FBS Integrity Zone Team and also Vice Dean II of FBS, stated that Integrity Zone development must not stop at ceremonial events. Instead, it must be realized through concrete actions that directly impact service quality and faculty governance.

“We will ensure that every work unit within FBS has specific programs integrated with Key Performance Indicators (IKU) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—such as digitization of academic services and a transparent performance reporting system. Cross-sector collaboration is the key to achieving WBK/WBBM,” he said.

Beyond serving as a socialization platform, the campaign also marked a moment to raise collective awareness about the importance of integrity, transparency, and accountability in the delivery of higher education services. FBS hopes that Integrity Zone development will create an academic environment that is excellent, humane, and free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism.

With a spirit of collaboration and innovation, FBS is optimistic about becoming a faculty that not only excels in academics and the arts but also serves as a model for integrity-based university governance.
