The 6th Nusantara Writing Festival was organized by Lembaga Setara Prisma Nusantara (Nusantara Muda) in collaboration with Politeknik TEDC Bandung. The competition provided a platform for students and young people to develop their writing skills, articulate ideas, and respond to various social issues through academic and essay writing.
The Gold Medal achievement demonstrates the ability of PPKn FISIP UNNES students to develop ideas and communicate them effectively through written work at the national competition level. It also highlights that students’ academic competencies are developed not only through classroom learning but also through active participation in academic forums and competitions.
For students of Pancasila and Civic Education, participation in a competition focusing on social and economic issues is closely related to their field of study. The ability to identify social issues, understand economic dynamics, formulate arguments, and present ideas through writing is an important competency for their future roles as educators and responsible citizens.
The achievement also contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education. Developing students’ literacy, critical thinking, writing, and communication skills through academic competitions is part of efforts to improve the quality of education and equip students with competencies relevant to addressing various social challenges.
Furthermore, addressing social and economic issues in students’ work is relevant to SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, particularly by encouraging young people to develop the competencies, creativity, and critical thinking skills needed for their future professional lives. More broadly, such activities strengthen students’ capacity to critically understand social and economic issues and develop ideas that can provide meaningful contributions to society.
Winning the Gold Medal at NWF 6 demonstrates the continued commitment of FISIP UNNES to encouraging students to excel while strengthening their academic, literacy, and critical-thinking skills. The achievement is expected to inspire other students to participate actively in academic competitions and to transform social and economic issues into ideas that can generate innovative and impactful works.
