Brief Profile

Master of Social Studies Education Study Program officially runs based on the decree establishing the Study Program Number 1557/D2.2/2007/2008. Based on the decree of establishment, this study program joins other study programs in the Postgraduate. Furthermore, with the issuance of Operational License Decree Number 1913 / D / T2007 dated July 8, 2007, the Master of Social Studies Education Study Program was legally held starting September 2007. By applicable regulations, the permit for implementing the Master of Social Studies Education Study Program is continually reviewed or extended. In 2009, with decree Number 2483/D/T/K-N/2009 dated June 12, 2009, the Master of Social Studies Education Study Program was extended. This extension is undoubtedly based on the development of the Master of Social Studies Education Study Program, which shows positive developments, such as the number of social studies Education Study Program students constantly increasing yearly.

The Master of Social Studies Education Study Program organizes the Social Studies Master Education program according to the National Higher Education Standards, which produces the Master of Social Studies Education Study Program. As a master of social studies education, he is expected to have the ability to be an educator of social studies education clusters and a developer of social studies education who plays a role in developing and solving educational problems and problems in society. In addition, the Master of Social Studies Education is also expected to have the ability to be a researcher in the field of Social Studies Education, where the findings or results of his research can contribute to the development of social studies. Four graduate achievements are used as a reference to achieve the above output: the achievements of graduates’ Attitudes, Knowledge, General Skills, and Specific Skills.
