Research and Community Services

RESEARCH

Article 20 of Law No. 20/2003 on the National Education System explicitly mandates that universities are obliged to organize education, research, and community service. In the implementation of the Dharma of research, all teaching staff (lecturers) and students are required to conduct research to solve certain problems that concern them. Lecturers conduct research to develop their field of study and solve practical problems that exist in the midst of society, while students conduct research as one of the obligations that must be fulfilled in completing the educational program they are following.

In an effort to develop the quality and quantity of research that needs to be done by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Semarang State University within the next 10 years are:

  • Increasing the amount of internal research funding budget
  • Excavation of research funds from external sources
  • Optimizing the role of study centers in research activities
  • Increasing the relevance of research to the study program
  • Development of lecturers’ competence in research
  • Utilization of research results in the learning process.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

The development of science, knowledge and technology in the campus world needs to be disseminated and applied for the welfare of the wider community. This implementation is carried out with an inter-disciplinary, participatory and educational approach, expected to be able to encourage the acceleration of educational development in the Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Semarang with appropriate and effective results.

Community Service is in line with increasing faith and devotion in the context of modernization of life, modern attitudes and behavior and educating the nation’s life, so as to be able to solve every problem and challenge of change towards better progress in accordance with applicable social and cultural values.

Community Service activities from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Semarnag State University aim to carry out science and technology and art to be utilized by the wider community; organize education and training for industrial workers in various levels of positions; foster cooperation with industry and other institutions to be more synergistic, increase cooperation in order to support the development of small and medium enterprises. The community service program is directed to the target audience of individuals, groups and institutions as a practice of aspects and arts in order to succeed in advanced education in Indonesia.

We inform you that the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of the Universitas Negeri Semarang has opened the registration of research and community service funds PNBP FISIP UNNES 2022 for faculty and functional education. Announcement of Acceptance of Research and Community Service Funding Sources from DPA FISIP UNNES in 2022

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) congratulates the proposers of the 2022 FISIP UNNES DPA research and community service program, which was accepted and funded. If there are still notes for revision of the proposal from the Assessor/Evaluator, please immediately correct/revise the proposal uploaded via SIPP (https://my.unnes.ac.id/12) by April 15, 2022. Proposers who have yet to be listed those named in this announcement can submit proposals again in the 2023 fiscal year. We will announce information on the amount of research and service funding through the Chancellor’s Decree.
