Kementerian Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship

What is the KNB Scholarship?

The Developing Country Partnership Scholarship or better known as the KNB Scholarship is financial assistance offered by the Government of Indonesia to prospective international students from developing countries to continue their studies (S1, S2 or S3) at one of the universities in Indonesia. This scholarship was initiated at the 10th Summit of the Heads of State of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) on September 1-6, 1992. The Government of the Republic of Indonesia began offering this scholarship to potential students from NAM member countries the following year.

KNB offers students the experience of studying at leading universities in Indonesia and at the same time living in one of the most diverse and dynamic societies in the world. By getting this scholarship, students will get the experience of studying in quality programs managed by 31 (thirty-one) partner universities.

In 2024, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia together with 31 universities in Indonesia will receive 222 KNB Scholarship applicants, consisting of 30 undergraduate scholarship recipients, 162 graduate scholarship recipients, and 30 doctoral scholarship recipients.

Darmasiswa Indonesian Scholarship

What is the Darmasiswa Indonesian Scholarship?

DARMASISWA is a one year non-degree scholarship program offered to all non-Indonesia citizens from countries which Indonesia has diplomatic relations to study Indonesian language (Bahasa Indonesia), arts, music, crafts and other specific subjects at 68 Indonesian higher education institutions (for 2023/2024 academic year). This program was established in 1974 as part of ASEAN initiative, admitting only students from ASEAN. However, in 1976 DARMASISWA was extended further to other countries. Until to date, the number of countries participating in this program has exceeded more than 111. DARMASISWA is organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

What is the UNNES Scholarship?

UNNES scholarships are available for outstanding students who are interested in pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees with us this year. Cendekia Baznas Scholarship

What is the Cendekia Baznas Scholarship?

Baznas provides opportunities for the underprivileged to gain access to education as the main basis for the utilization of zakat for educational scholarships. But of course this homework is not only that, coaching becomes the main spirit of the program. Smeru Research Institute’s research titled “Effect of Growing Up Poor on Labor Market Outcomes” states that children who at the age of 8-17 years live in poverty, when working their income will be 87 percent lower than those whose children are not poor. What is the Van Deventer-Maas Indonesia Scholarship?

VDMI aims to achieve its objectives mainly by awarding scholarships to young Indonesian students in selected universities, academy, and secondary schools. The Foundation also provides capacity building programs for its scholarship grantees, aiming to promote their personal development and chances in job markets. The VDMI also has the possibility to support additional projects in line with the foundation’s mission.

LPDP Scholarship

What is the LPDP Scholarship?

LPDP is mandated to manage endowment funds other than DPPN, namely the Research Endowment Fund, Cultural Endowment Fund and Higher Education Endowment Fund with the issuance of Presidential Regulation Number 111 of 2021 concerning Endowment Funds in the Education Sector. With this regulation, programs to utilize endowment funds in the education sector are carried out by LPDP in collaboration with (1) the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, (2) the Ministry of Religion, and (3) the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).

In 2022 LPDP was designated as a Government Investment Operator (OIP) with broader investment authority. LPDP is now authorized to invest in short-term and/or long-term investment instruments in the form of securities and non-securities at home and abroad. Investment returns can be used to finance all activities that support LPDP’s commitment targets, one of which is equalizing scholarship recipients.
