The Doctoral Program in Arts Education (S3) at the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Semarang (FBS UNNES), will hold an event titled “Antarala Nusantara: Doctoral Students’ Data Exhibition in Arts Education” on June 23–24, 2026, at Kampung Budaya FBS UNNES, running from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Western Indonesia Time.
Carrying the theme “Antarala Nusantara,” this event serves as an academic dialogue space that brings together various regions, cultures, perspectives, and knowledge of Nusantara arts. Through this exhibition, doctoral students in Arts Education will present data, research findings, and academic ideas derived from diverse contexts of Indonesian arts and culture.
The event provides a platform for students to present the progress of their dissertation research while expanding knowledge exchange within the academic environment. Furthermore, this exhibition is expected to strengthen scholarly networks and open discussion spaces among students, academics, arts practitioners, and the public.
This Data Exhibition is a course project for the Arts Education Data Presentation subject taken by doctoral students. The lecturers supervising the course are Prof. Dr. Agus Cahyono, M.Hum., Dr. Eko Haryanto, S.Pd., M.Ds., Dr. Deni Setiawan, S.Sn., M.Hum., and Dr. Wandah Wibawanto, S.Sn., M.Ds.
A total of 22 doctoral students in Arts Education will participate in this event by presenting their studies and research, reflecting the diversity of issues in arts, culture, education, and creative practices in Indonesia.
To enrich academic perspectives, the event presents several resource persons and discussants who have expertise in arts and arts education: Dr. Bondet Wrahatnala, S.Sos., M.Sn. from Institut Seni Indonesia Surakarta; Dr. Yanti Heriyawati, S.Pd., M.Hum. from the Graduate School of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia; Dr. Bramantyo, M.Sn. from Sekolah Tinggi Kesenian Wilwatikta Surabaya; and Prof. Dr. Dra. Kun Setyaning A., M.Pd. from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta.
The Dean of FBS UNNES, Prof. Dr. Tommi Yuniawan, M.Hum., stated that this event aligns with efforts to support SDG 4 (Quality Education) through strengthening project-based learning, SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by highlighting Nusantara cultural diversity, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration with various national institutions.
The exhibition is open to the public and is expected to become a productive discussion space for all stakeholders in the arts and education fields.
