SEMARANG – As part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, Tijan, a lecturer from the Civic and Pancasila Education (PPKN) Study Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), successfully organized a community service program.

The activity, held on 10 May 2026 at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UNNES, was entitled “Strengthening AI-Based Scout Troop Management as an Adaptive Strategy for Scouting Education for Generation Alpha in the Semarang City Scout Branch.”

The event commenced with opening remarks from Andi Suhardiyanto, Coordinator of the PPKN Study Program at UNNES, and was officially inaugurated by Ponco Wijayanto, Secretary of the Semarang City Scout Branch. The program was also attended by prominent scouting figures, including Sunarto and Sriyono.

The training featured a series of expert speakers who provided innovative insights and practical skills for participants. In the first session, Noorochmat Isdaryanto presented a topic on the Integration of Artificial Intelligence in the Management of Junior Scout Development at Junior High School Scout Units. The second session was delivered by Tijan, who discussed the crucial topic of Developing Work Programs for Junior Scout Units at Junior High Schools.

The next session consisted of both presentations and hands-on practice led by Deva Dwi Deswitama and Shifa Khairunisa, who guided participants in creating online learning classes for scouting activities. The final session featured practical training on the Utilization of Artificial Intelligence to Enhance Student Competencies, delivered by Alvito Surya Nugraha and Wazifun Abdullah.

The program was specifically designed for Scout instructors from junior high schools (SMP/MTs) throughout Semarang City who had been officially assigned by their respective schools to improve the quality of scouting education in the digital era. The entire event was conducted smoothly and successfully.

As a token of appreciation and a resource for continued learning, each participant received a special book entitled “Scout Is Not Dead: Reviving the Spirit of Scouting through the Language of Generation Z.” The innovative guidebook was authored by a team of experts consisting of Tijan, Noorochmat Isdaryanto, Sunarto, Sriyono, and Wagiran.

The book is expected to serve as a practical guide for Scout instructors in fostering adaptive scouting values and character development among Generation Alpha, while ensuring that scouting education remains relevant and responsive to the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.
