The Undergraduate Program (S1) in English Language Education, Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), has once again achieved a remarkable accomplishment by obtaining an “Excellent” accreditation from the Independent Accreditation Institution for Education (LAMDIK). This predicate was established through LAMDIK Decree Number 1202/SK/LAMDIK/AK/S/VI/2026 with a score of 370.
This “Excellent” accreditation is valid for five years, effective from June 30, 2026, to June 29, 2031. This achievement serves as tangible evidence of the English Language Education Undergraduate Program’s commitment to maintaining and continuously improving the quality of higher education delivery.
The Decree was issued in Jakarta on June 30, 2026, by the Chairperson of LAMDIK, Prof. Dr. Muchlas Samani. The determination of this accreditation rating was based on various considerations and applicable laws and regulations, including Law Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education and Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 5 of 2020 concerning Accreditation of Study Programs and Higher Education Institutions.

The Coordinator of the English Language Education Undergraduate Program UNNES, Yuliati, S.Pd., M.Pd., M.Ed., Ph.D., expressed her gratitude and appreciation for this “Excellent” accreditation achievement. According to her, this predicate is the result of the hard work and collaboration of the entire academic community of the study program.
“This ‘Excellent’ accreditation with a score of 370 is the fruit of our collective commitment to delivering innovative and relevant learning. We are grateful to all lecturers, education staff, students, and alumni who have contributed. Moving forward, we will continue to develop technology-based and research-oriented curricula, as well as strengthen partnerships with various stakeholders to produce outstanding, adaptive, and globally competitive English language educator graduates, in line with the demands of 21st-century education,” said Yuliati.
Meanwhile, the Vice Dean II for General Affairs and Finance of FBS UNNES, Dr. Muhamad Burhanudin, S.S., M.A., stated that this achievement is a source of pride for the faculty and tangible evidence of the solid synergy between the study program, the faculty, and the university. He emphasized that “Excellent” accreditation is not just about numbers, but also about the real impact on education and development.

The ‘Excellent’ accreditation obtained by the English Language Education Undergraduate Program reflects good governance, measurable learning quality, and a tangible contribution to human resource development.
