Profil Singkat

Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif adalah salah satu prodi di Jurusan Teknik Mesin Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Semarang. Program Studi ini menyelenggarakan pendidikan bidang Teknik Otomotif untuk mengakomodasi kebutuhan guru teknik otomotif untuk SMK maupun instruktur di pusat-pusat latihan (training center) dan Enterpreneur. Penyelenggaraan pendidikan didasarkan pada Surat Mandat dari Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi Departemen Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 1042/E/T/2011 tanggal 21 Juli 2011 tentang Penugasan Pembukaan Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif (S1) dan Surat Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor: 137/E/O/2012 tentang Penyelenggaraan Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif (S-1) pada Universitas Negeri Semarang.

Dengan berbekal tekad dan semangat “SIAP (Skill, Inovation, Academic and Performance)” Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif siap membekali mahasiswa dengan cakupan kompetensi lulusan: pengetahuan teknik otomotif (menguasai sejarah dan perkembangan teknik otomotif, dasar teknik otomotif, dan gambaran umum dunia otomotif), perawatan otomotif (menguasai teknik perawatan mesin, chasis, bodi, dan kelistrikan otomotif), teknologi Otomotif (menguasai teknik pembuatan komponen otomotif), dan enterpreneur (menguasai dasar-dasar manajemen dan pelayanan kepada konsumen serta mampu menjadi enterpreneur dalam bidang otomotif)
