Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Matematika FMIPA UNNES memperoleh Izin Pembukaan Prodi dari Dirjen Dikti No. 4853/D/T/2004tanggal 30 Desember 2004. Visi Keilmuan Prodi adalah Menjadi Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Matematika Bereputasi Dunia Pelopor Kecemerlangan Pendidikan yang Mengkaji Pembelajaran, Kompetensi Matematis, Asesmen dan Media Berwawasan Konservasi.
