To become a leading program in the innovative development of English Language Education through the integration of language education theory, linguistics, and literacy approaches, research-oriented, and contributing to character building for quality education.

Mission

  1. To conduct innovative and sustainable English language education through the integration of language education theory, linguistics, and literacy approaches to produce outstanding, adaptable, and character-driven graduates.
  2. To generate and disseminate research in the field of English language education that contributes to academic development, learning innovation, and the improvement of educational quality.
  3. Conducting community service based on research and oriented toward character building.
  4. Implementing professional, transparent, and accountable program management based on a quality assurance system to support the enhancement of the three pillars of higher education and the continuous strengthening of academic reputation
  5. Developing national and international cooperation networks that strengthen the quality of the three pillars of higher education and enhance global reputation in a sustainable manner

Objectives

The Master’s Program (S2) in English Language Education at Faculty of Languages of Arts aims to:

  1. Produce graduates who have a comprehensive mastery of language education theory, linguistics, and literacy; are capable of implementing innovative teaching methods; are adaptable to technological advancements; and possess professional character and ethical standards.
  2. To enhance the quality and quantity of research in the field of English Language Education, focusing on academic development, learning innovations, scientific publications, and the application of research findings to improve educational quality.
  3. To conduct community service initiatives grounded in research outcomes and aligned with the needs of stakeholders and the community.
  4. Establishing an effective, transparent, accountable, and quality-assurance-based program management system to ensure the enhancement of the three pillars of higher education and the sustainable development of the program.
  5. Fostering collaborative partnerships at the national and international levels that support the improvement of education, research, and community service, while continuously enhancing the program’s academic reputation.

Brief Profile

Master’s Program of English Language Education is a Master’s Program in English education that produces teachers, lecturers, instructors, and practitioners of English education in the context of teaching English as a foreign language. Students are equipped with knowledge and skills regarding approaches, methods, and techniques as well as English learning strategies based on Second Language Acquisition theory, sociocultural theory, Systemic Functional Linguistics, and technology-enhanced English language teaching and learning so that graduates have pedagogic competence, personality competence, professional competence, and social competence.

Attitude development also focuses on forming graduates with collaborative, creative, communicative, and critical-thinking characteristics. In addition to the outcome-based education-oriented learning process, academic activities in the English Language Education Master Program include research and service activities involving students and cooperation with partner educational institutions at home and abroad, including visiting professors, joint lectures, general lectures, workshops, research and collaborative service, writing research articles, book chapters, and developing alums networking at the level regionally, nationally, and internationally.
