Brief Profile

French Language Education Study Program is the first program in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Faculty of Language and Arts, Universitas Negeri Semarang. This study program began to conduct lectures in 1984 through the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 56/DIKTI/Kep/1984, led by a study program coordinator. The French Language Education Study Program holds “Excellent” accreditation status from LAMDIK through decree No. 49/SK/LAMDIK/Ak/S/X/2022, which is valid until 10-10-2027.

In line with the vision and mission to become a world reputable university, a pioneer of educational brilliance with a conservation insight, the French Language Education Study Program was developed to produce undergraduate graduates in the field of education and French language (Bachelor Degree) with supporting competencies with character and excellence in the areas of tour guidance, translation, and entrepreneurship.

The study program teaching staff is nine lecturers with doctoral and master education qualifications from within and outside the country. In addition, study program lecturers are certified teachers, and most have French language examiner certificates and DELF trainers recognized by the French Ministry of Education.
