Brief Profile

Master of Geography Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang is officially based on the Permit of the Director General of Higher Education No.47/KPT/2015 dated 20 January 2016 concerning the Permit for Implementing the Master’s Geography Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang. Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education Number 2148 /BAN-PT/Ak-red / M /S2/VII/2019 dated 2 July 2019 concerning the Accreditation Value and Ranking of Study Programs in the Geography Education Master’s Program in Higher Education.
 
The Geography Education Masters Program provides a Master program by the National Higher Education Standards, which produces master’s graduates in Geography Education. As a Master of Geography Education, you are expected to have the ability to develop geographic education that is creative, innovative, collaborative, and responsive to educational and environmental problems. As a master of Geography Education, you are expected to have the ability to develop theories and models of Geography Education at various levels and types of education.
 
In addition, the study program is also likely to allow one to be a researcher in the field of geography education, where the findings or research results can contribute to the development of geography and environmental education. To achieve the output mentioned above, four graduate achievements are used as a reference for Geography Education (Master), namely graduate achievements: Attitude, Knowledge, General Skills, and Special Skills.
