Semarang – Students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) have once again achieved an outstanding accomplishment. Two students from the Political Science Study Program, Arjun Yusuf Pinandita (Student ID 2403060111) and Shabrina Ananta Kusumah (Student ID 2503060066), won Second Place in the Literasi 2.0 competition, organized by the Student Activity Unit of FISIP (UKMF FISIP), Universitas Jember.
The achievement was secured as part of the Literasi 2.0 and National Seminar on Domestic Politics, held on August 22, 2026. In the competition, Arjun and Shabrina participated as a team under the guidance of Evany Sofia Prameswari, S.IP., M.A., who served as their academic supervisor.
Winning second place in the competition demonstrates the ability of FISIP UNNES Political Science students to develop their academic competencies while actively participating in national-level student competitions. The achievement also reflects the students’ enthusiasm for strengthening their literacy skills and broadening their understanding of domestic political issues.
The Literasi 2.0 and National Seminar on Domestic Politics provided students with an opportunity to develop critical-thinking skills, broaden their perspectives, and build academic networks with students from other universities. For Political Science students, such experiences are important in connecting academic knowledge with the dynamics of political life developing within society.
Arjun and Shabrina’s achievement also demonstrates the importance of student participation in academic activities beyond regular classroom learning. Competitions provide a platform for students to sharpen their ability to develop ideas, present arguments, and build confidence while competing at the national level.
For FISIP UNNES, this achievement contributes to the faculty’s academic culture and student excellence, which continue to be encouraged through various scholarly and competitive activities. The accomplishment is expected to inspire other students to develop their potential, participate actively in competitions, and produce achievements that bring recognition to their study program and faculty.
The activity is also closely related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through the strengthening of literacy, critical-thinking skills, and student capacity development. Meanwhile, the focus on domestic politics is also relevant to SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, particularly by encouraging young people to develop the knowledge, awareness, and capacity to critically understand political dynamics and institutional life.
The Second Place achievement in Literasi 2.0 is a source of pride for Arjun Yusuf Pinandita and Shabrina Ananta Kusumah, while also strengthening the contribution of FISIP UNNES students to a productive, competitive, and capacity-oriented academic culture for the development of the younger generation.
