Yogyakarta – Students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), have once again achieved an outstanding accomplishment on the international stage. Three students from the History Education Study Program—Arsyad Fillah Ramadhan, Nova Karisma Romadona, and Fatihatun Nida—won the Bronze Medal in the Tourism and Culture sub-theme at the International Future Leader Competition, held at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta, today.
The award reflects the team’s dedication in developing an innovative project centered on tourism and cultural development as a contribution to advancing sustainable development. The international competition brought together university students from various institutions to showcase creative, innovative, and solution-oriented ideas addressing global challenges across multiple disciplines.
Throughout the preparation and competition process, the team received academic guidance from Rizka Cahyaning Arifin Putri, S.Pd., M.Pd., who served as their faculty advisor. Her mentorship included refining the team’s ideas, strengthening the academic substance of the project, and preparing the students for presentations to ensure they could compete effectively at the international level.
This achievement demonstrates that History Education students at FISIP UNNES possess not only strong academic capabilities but also the ability to apply multidisciplinary perspectives in promoting Indonesia’s historical heritage, culture, and tourism on the global stage. The accomplishment further reinforces FISIP UNNES’s commitment to producing graduates who are competent, adaptive, and capable of contributing to global issues through innovation and collaboration.
Faculty advisor Rizka Cahyaning Arifin Putri, S.Pd., M.Pd. expressed her appreciation for the students’ dedication and perseverance throughout the competition. According to her, this achievement is the result of a consistent learning process, strong teamwork, and the courage to compete internationally.
“This achievement demonstrates that our students have the potential to compete on the global stage. I hope it inspires other students to continue innovating, achieving excellence, and bringing pride to FISIP UNNES in various international forums,” she said.
The success of these three students further strengthens the culture of academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration within FISIP UNNES. Beyond being a source of pride for the study program and faculty, this accomplishment is expected to encourage more students to participate in international competitions as a means of enhancing their competencies and expanding their global networks.
This achievement is also aligned with Universitas Negeri Semarang’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
