The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), organized an Entrepreneurship Training on Innovation-Based and Sustainable Production in collaboration with CV. Sofia Media Kreasi on Thursday (July 9, 2026). The program aimed to enhance the capacity of university students and entrepreneurs to develop innovative, creative products, particularly through the production of Shibori batik, which offers economic value while promoting sustainability.

The training featured Ganjar Winasis, Director of CV. Sofia Media Kreasi, and Evany Sofia Prameswari, a lecturer of the Entrepreneurship course at FISIP UNNES, as keynote speakers. The event was attended by FISIP UNNES students alongside entrepreneurs who enthusiastically participated in learning strategies for developing creative industry-based businesses.

In his presentation, Ganjar Winasis emphasized that innovation is the key driver of business competitiveness amid the increasingly competitive creative industry. However, he noted that sustainable production systems must accompany innovation to generate balanced economic, social, and environmental benefits.

Meanwhile, Evany Sofia Prameswari explained that entrepreneurship should not be solely profit-oriented but should also focus on creating added value through creativity, sustainability, and the ability to identify market opportunities. According to her, students need practical experience to develop entrepreneurial ventures that can adapt to changing market dynamics and future challenges.

One of the participants, Retno, a student at FISIP UNNES, shared that she gained valuable insights throughout the training. As an aspiring entrepreneur, she found the program particularly beneficial in providing a clear understanding of the fundamental steps involved in establishing a business.

“This training has provided me with new insights as a beginner in entrepreneurship. I have come to realize that sustainable production processes must support product innovation to ensure long-term business growth,” Retno said.

In addition to the theoretical sessions, participants also took part in a hands-on workshop on Shibori batik production. Through this practical activity, they successfully created a variety of Shibori batik products featuring diverse patterns that reflected their creativity while demonstrating strong potential for further development as flagship products in the creative industry.

Through this training program, FISIP UNNES and CV. Sofia Media Kreasi hope to strengthen collaboration between higher education institutions and industry in nurturing innovative entrepreneurs. The initiative is also expected to promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, enhance the competitiveness of creative enterprises, and foster innovations that contribute to community welfare and economic development.
