Brief Profile

Sociology and Anthropology Education Study Program is one of the study programs at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Negeri Semarang. Implementing the Sociology and Anthropology Education Study Program began on September 1st, 2001. Then, it was officially established based on the Decree of Establishment of Study Program No. 139 / D / T / 2002, dated January 25th, 2002.

The Study Program aims to produce graduates teaching Sociology and Anthropology at the secondary education level. Graduates of the Sociology and Anthropology Education Study Program are also equipped with skills in analyzing and responding to socio-cultural conditions, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit so that they can work in the non-teaching socio-cultural field.

Sociology and Anthropology Education Study Program has graduated more than 1,800 students. It has 600 students with 21 lecturers, 1 Professor, 10 with Doctoral degrees from domestic and foreign universities, and six pursuing Doctoral studies.
