Brief Profile

Automotive Engineering Education Study Program is one of the study programs in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Semarang. This study program organizes education in automotive engineering to accommodate the needs of automotive engineering teachers for vocational schools, instructors in training centers, and entrepreneurs. The implementation of education is based on the Mandate Letter from the Directorate General of Higher Education of the Ministry of National Education Number 1042/E/T/2011 dated July 21, 2011, concerning the Assignment of the Opening of the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program and the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 137/E/O/2012 concerning the Implementation of the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang.

Armed with the determination and spirit of “SIAP (Skill, Innovation, Academic and Performance),” the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program is ready to equip students with a scope of graduate competencies: automotive engineering knowledge (mastering the history and development of automotive engineering, basic automotive engineering, and an overview of the automotive world), automotive maintenance (mastering engine maintenance techniques, chassis, body, and automotive electricity), Automotive technology (mastering automotive component manufacturing techniques), and entrepreneur (getting the basics of management and service to consumers and being able to become an entrepreneur in the automotive field)
