The send-off reflects the faculty’s support for expanding students’ academic experiences through educational activities across national borders.
For nearly one month, Mifti Cantika Jannah will participate in the Lantip International Program at Sekolah Menengah Agama Irshadiah. This placement provides an opportunity for her to become familiar with the educational environment in Malaysia while broadening her understanding of teaching practices, school culture, and educational dynamics in a different context.
For a PPKn student, the experience also serves as a learning opportunity to understand civic education within a diverse society. Interactions with the school community in Malaysia are expected to enrich her perspectives on national values, diversity, intercultural communication, and the challenges facing education in a global era.
The Lantip International Program is one of the initiatives designed to develop prospective teachers’ competencies through direct experience in an international educational environment. Through this program, students are expected to improve their adaptability, communication skills, and pedagogical understanding as essential foundations for contributing to the development of quality education.
The program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by strengthening prospective teachers’ competencies and expanding learning experiences in an international setting. It also supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, as cross-border academic mobility creates opportunities for exchanging experiences and strengthening educational relations between Indonesia and Malaysia.
Through Mifti Cantika Jannah’s participation in the Lantip International Program, FISIP UNNES continues to strengthen its commitment to providing broader learning experiences for its students. Her experience at Sekolah Menengah Agama Irshadiah is expected to serve as a foundation for developing her academic and professional capabilities while encouraging meaningful contributions to inclusive, quality, and globally oriented education.
