Semarang – Three students from the Political Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), achieved notable success at Sore Competition 2, organized by PRISMA in collaboration with the Student Association of Forestry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). The achievements were earned by Carrel Reynata Agustin (2403060212), Novita Shellany (2403060222), and Khanaya Rengganysia (2403060207).

The three students received several awards in the competition. Carrel Reynata Agustin won a Silver Medal, while Novita Shellany received a Bronze Medal. Meanwhile, Khanaya Rengganysia earned the The Most Favorite Poster award. In addition, two Favorite Poster awards were also received by participants from the team.

The achievements are a source of pride for the Political Science students of FISIP UNNES, demonstrating their ability to develop ideas and present them through creative works that earned recognition in a competitive forum. Creating poster works also provided the students with an opportunity to sharpen their ability to communicate ideas visually in an engaging and effective manner.

Throughout the competition, the three students received guidance from Bambang Hermanto, S.Pd., M.IP. The lecturer’s mentorship played an important role in helping the students develop their ideas, prepare their work, and make the necessary preparations to participate in the competition effectively.

Winning awards in multiple categories demonstrates how competitive activities can serve as valuable learning opportunities beyond regular classroom instruction. Such experiences encourage students to develop creativity, critical thinking, communication skills, teamwork, and the confidence to present and test their ideas in broader forums.

The achievements of FISIP UNNES students at Sore Competition 2 are also relevant to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education. Student participation in competitions provides learning experiences that support the development of skills, creativity, and competencies relevant to both academic and professional life.

Furthermore, the competition, organized through collaboration between PRISMA and the Student Association of Forestry at UGM, reflects the importance of networking and collaboration among students and student organizations. This is in line with the spirit of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, particularly through the creation of opportunities for collaboration and the exchange of ideas within higher education.

FISIP UNNES extends its appreciation to Carrel Reynata Agustin, Novita Shellany, and Khanaya Rengganysia for their achievements. Their success is expected to inspire other students to continue developing their potential, actively participate in various competitions, and produce meaningful work while contributing to the reputation of FISIP UNNES at a broader level.
