Semarang – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) continues to strengthen its commitment to providing students with internationally oriented learning experiences through the International Lantip Program. One of its students, Unsyi Nur Ainil Fitri (Student ID 2303050061) from the Pancasila and Civic Education Study Program, was officially sent to participate in the International Lantip Program at Sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru (SIJB), Malaysia. The program will take place from August 31 to September 28, 2026.
The student’s official departure was conducted by Dean of FISIP UNNES, Prof. Dr. Arif Purnomo, S.Pd., S.S., M.Pd., accompanied by Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. scient.med. Fadly Husain, S.Sos., M.Si., and Coordinator of the Pancasila and Civic Education Study Program, Andi Suhardiyanto, S.Pd., M.Si. The send-off reflects the faculty’s institutional support for students in developing their academic and professional competencies through learning experiences and educational practice in an international environment.
Through this program, Unsyi Nur Ainil Fitri will have the opportunity to develop her educational experience and teaching skills directly at Sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru. Her placement in an Indonesian educational institution located overseas will also provide valuable opportunities to understand educational practices within a more diverse social and cultural context.
The International Lantip Program plays an important role in preparing students as prospective educators who possess not only pedagogical competencies but also the ability to adapt to dynamic and multicultural educational environments. Direct interaction with students, teachers, and the school environment in Malaysia is expected to broaden the student’s understanding of educational practices while strengthening her communication, collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
From the perspective of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the International Lantip Program is closely aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education. The program supports lifelong learning and capacity building for prospective educators through direct learning experiences in an international educational environment. Such experiences are expected to contribute to the development of competent, adaptive teachers with a global perspective.
The program is also relevant to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through the strengthening of cross-border educational cooperation. The presence of an FISIP UNNES student at Sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru represents a form of academic mobility that creates opportunities for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and educational practices between Indonesia and Malaysia.
FISIP UNNES expresses its appreciation and support for Unsyi Nur Ainil Fitri as she undertakes the International Lantip Program.
