Semarang – Students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) have once again achieved an academic distinction. Two FISIP UNNES students, Yassirli Amri and Annisa Maghfirotus Sholihah, won Second Place in the Scientific Writing category at Journefest 2026, organized by the Student Press Institute (LPM) of Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Kudus.
The achievement was part of the Journefest 2026 series of events held to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of UIN Sunan Kudus. Yassirli and Annisa’s success demonstrates the ability of FISIP UNNES students to develop academic ideas through scientific writing while competing at the inter-university level.
In the competition, Yassirli Amri and Annisa Maghfirotus Sholihah secured Second Place in the scientific writing category. They participated in the competition under the guidance of Dr. Andi Irwan Benardi, S.Pd., M.Pd., who was listed as their academic supervisor in the award announcement.
Scientific writing is an important form of academic activity that encourages students to develop critical thinking, process information, formulate arguments, and communicate ideas systematically.
