Semarang, July 31, 2026 – The Alumni Association (IKA) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting students’ educational journeys by awarding educational scholarships to ten FISIP UNNES students. The scholarship presentation ceremony was held on Friday (July 31) in Meeting Room 202, 2nd Floor, Prof. Dr. A.T. Soegito Building, FISIP UNNES, and was presented directly by Dr. Kusno, S.Pd., M.Si., Chairman of the FISIP UNNES Alumni Association, who currently serves as Head of the Senior High School Division at the Central Java Provincial Education Office and previously served as Principal of SMAN 1 Semarang. The event formed part of the faculty’s official academic agenda, attended by the faculty leadership, alumni association representatives, and scholarship recipients.

The scholarship program reflects the alumni association’s dedication to supporting students in completing their studies without being hindered by financial constraints. It also demonstrates the enduring relationship between alumni and their alma mater through meaningful initiatives that directly benefit current students.

During the ceremony, Dr. Kusno emphasized that education is a long-term investment that requires support from all stakeholders, including alumni. He noted that students’ success depends not only on academic excellence but also on a supportive environment that provides opportunities for personal and professional growth.

“We hope this scholarship will encourage our students to continue striving for academic excellence and complete their studies successfully. Alumni have a moral responsibility to support the development of their alma mater and help future generations gain better access to higher education,” he said.

The scholarship recipients represent various academic programs within FISIP UNNES, namely:

  3. Prika Ahmad Febrian – Political Science
  4. Syafrial Ilham Ardana – Communication Science
  5. Farah Oktaviani – Geography
  6. Muhammad Andhika Surya Putra – Political Science
  7. Putri Dinda Ardiyani – Pancasila and Civic Education
  8. Rizka Zahra Arfianti – Social Studies Education
  9. Hangi Rihhadatul Aulia – Geography Education
  10. Ikmal Setiawan – History.

The Dean of FISIP UNNES expressed his appreciation to the FISIP UNNES Alumni Association for its continuous commitment to supporting students. According to him, the collaboration between the faculty and its alumni represents one of the institution’s greatest strengths in fostering an inclusive and sustainable higher education ecosystem.

For the recipients, the scholarships provide not only financial assistance but also motivation to pursue academic excellence and contribute positively to society.
