The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held a farewell and welcoming ceremony for administrative staff as part of the university’s personnel rotation program. The event took place on the ground floor of the Prof. Dr. A.T. Soegito Building in Gunungpati, Semarang, on Friday (July 10, 2026), marking the departure of two long-serving staff members and the arrival of two new colleagues.
Umarudin, a security officer who had served at FISIP for 13 years, has been reassigned to the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). Meanwhile, Lyna Rahma Yulianty, a staff member in Academic and Student Affairs, has been transferred to the Student Development Section under the Directorate of Academic and Student Affairs after serving at FISIP for three years. During her time at the faculty, Lyna was widely recognized for her active involvement in organizing student activities and supporting various academic events.
Lyna’s position will be filled by Yudi Wahyudi, who previously served at the Faculty of Law. Umarudin’s role as a security officer will be assumed by Zainuddin, formerly assigned to the Faculty of Sports Sciences.
Dean of FISIP UNNES, Prof. Arif Prunomo, said that staff rotation is a normal part of organizational development aimed at strengthening institutional performance while providing opportunities for professional growth.
“Today we officially bid farewell to two colleagues who have been part of the FISIP family for many years—Umar for 13 years and Lyna for three years. We have shared many memorable moments together. However, organizational renewal through staff rotation is a natural process and an essential part of meeting institutional needs,” he said.
Arif expressed his appreciation for the dedication and commitment demonstrated by both employees throughout their years of service. He noted that their contributions had played an important role in supporting academic services and administrative operations within the faculty.
In her farewell remarks, Lyna Rahma Yulianty thanked the entire FISIP community for the cooperation and support she had received during her assignment.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all lecturers and administrative staff at FISIP for the collaboration and friendship we have shared. I hope the memories we have built together will remain meaningful, and I wish FISIP continued unity and success,” she said.
Umarudin also conveyed his appreciation to his colleagues and reflected on the relationships he had built over more than a decade of service.
“I sincerely thank all lecturers, administrative staff, and colleagues for the opportunity to work together over the years. If I have made any mistakes during my time at FISIP, I humbly ask for your forgiveness,” he said.
The farewell ceremony concluded in a warm and family-like atmosphere, reflecting the strong sense of collegiality within the faculty. The staff rotation is expected to strengthen collaboration across faculties and contribute to improving the quality of services provided to the university community.
