Semarang – Students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) have once again achieved a remarkable accomplishment. Muhammad Dwi Utomo Aji, a 2024 student of the Geography Education Study Program, together with Lintang Dwi Safira, a 2025 student of the Geography Study Program, secured Third Place at the Semarang Raya Regional Forum of Islamic Campus Da’wah Organizations (Forum Silaturahmi Lembaga Dakwah Kampus Daerah/FSLDK Semarang Raya), held at Universitas Tidar. Their achievement was accomplished under the guidance of Dr. Andi Irwan Benardi, S.Pd., M.Pd.

The competition brought together university students from across the Semarang Raya region, providing a platform to strengthen participants’ intellectual capacity, leadership, communication skills, and collaborative abilities while promoting the values of Islamic outreach and character development. Throughout the series of competitions and activities, participants were challenged not only to demonstrate academic competence but also to think critically, work effectively in teams, and exhibit integrity as young leaders committed to making positive contributions to society.

The achievement of Muhammad Dwi Utomo Aji and Lintang Dwi Safira reflects the ability of FISIP UNNES students to compete successfully at the regional level while demonstrating academic excellence and strong leadership qualities cultivated through various student development activities. It also highlights UNNES’s commitment to encouraging students to maximize their potential in both academic and extracurricular fields.

Their academic supervisor, Dr. Andi Irwan Benardi, S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the students’ dedication and perseverance throughout the competition. According to him, this achievement is the result of a continuous process of learning, mentoring, and a strong commitment to personal growth.

“This achievement demonstrates that students can continue to grow through meaningful experiences beyond the classroom. I hope this accomplishment will inspire other students to pursue excellence, strengthen collaboration, and make positive contributions to society,” he said.

The success is also expected to further strengthen the culture of achievement within FISIP UNNES while motivating students to continue developing their leadership, communication, and networking skills through collaboration with peers from various higher education institutions.

This accomplishment aligns with Universitas Negeri Semarang’s commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing educational quality and student competencies, SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by fostering leadership, character development, and values of tolerance through student organizations, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening collaboration and networks among student organizations across universities. Through this achievement, FISIP UNNES students once again demonstrate that excellence, leadership, and collaboration are essential foundations for developing competitive, responsible, and globally minded future leaders.
