The History Students Association of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held History Scream Fest 2026 as a platform for students to showcase their talents, develop their potential, and strengthen solidarity among History students at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UNNES.

Carrying the theme “Rise Beyond Limit, Become The Champion,” the event was designed to encourage students to move beyond their comfort zones through healthy competition. The theme reflects the image of a phoenix rising, symbolizing the courage to grow, develop one’s abilities, and demonstrate the best version of oneself in pursuit of achievement.

History Scream Fest involved History students from the second to sixth semesters, along with the organizing committee responsible for managing the series of activities. The event was held across the FISIP UNNES campus environment.

The main series of activities took place from April 4 to April 12, 2026, following several preparatory stages in March. An online socialization session was held on March 6 to introduce the overall concept of the event, followed by an offline technical meeting on March 7 to explain competition rules and procedures.

The competitive atmosphere had already begun before the official opening. The preliminary badminton matches were held on the evening of April 3, followed by the semifinal and final rounds on the following night.

The event was officially opened on the morning of April 4, 2026. The opening day featured an arts competition in the form of a creative dance contest, alongside a PlayStation competition that ran from morning until afternoon.

The program then continued with sports competitions. On April 5, a futsal tournament was held throughout the day, bringing students together in a competitive but sportsmanlike atmosphere.

History Scream Fest also provided space for students interested in e-sports. The preliminary round of the Mobile Legends competition was held on April 11, followed by the final round on the morning of April 12.

The Mobile Legends final became one of the closing competitions before the entire series concluded with a closing ceremony later that day. The ceremony marked the official end of the event and served as a moment to recognize the participants who had taken part in the competitions.

History Scream Fest was designed not merely as a contest to determine winners, but also as a means of strengthening interaction, togetherness, and solidarity among History students at UNNES.

Through a range of artistic, sports, and e-sports competitions, students were given opportunities to demonstrate interests and abilities that may not always emerge in the classroom. The event also encouraged participants to learn about teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and respect for the abilities of others.

With the spirit of “Rise Beyond Limit, Become The Champion,” History Scream Fest 2026 positioned competition not simply as a race for victory, but as a process through which students could challenge themselves, grow beyond their limits, and strengthen their sense of community within the History student body at FISIP UNNES.
