UNNES International Program (IUP) Guide: Requirements, Costs, and Benefits

Currently, UNNES is opening registration for undergraduate (S1) programs with international classes through the UNNES IUP (International Undergraduate Program) Independent Selection track. This track is specially designed for both Indonesian (WNI) and international (WNA) students who seek a world-class academic environment.

What is UNNES IUP and What Are the Benefits?

The International Undergraduate Program (IUP) is a premier academic track designed to  provide a globally competitive academic experience. In these classes, students study alongside international peers with English as the primary medium of instruction.

More than just studying in classroom, UNNES IUP students will get global exposures and exclusive benefits, including:

  • International Internships: Gain professional work experience abroad and expand your global network.
  • Student Exchange Programs: Spend a semester studying at one of UNNES’s partner universities world wide.

Requirements and Mechanism of UNNES IUP Independent Selection

Applying for the UNNES IUP is designed to be practical and efficient. Candidates are not required to submit extensive physical documentation, as the process is managed digitally:

  • Main Requirements: Open to both Indonesian (WNI) and International (WNA) applicant who graduated from high school/vocational school/Islamic high school equivalents within the last 3 years (2024, 2025, and 2026 graduates).
  • Selection Mechanism: Participants will go through a three-tier selection process:  document verification, an online written test, and personal  interview .

How Much is the IUP Track Tuition Fee?

To support international standards facilities and a globally-oriented curriculum, the financing scheme for the IUP track is slightly different from the regular track. The education fees include:

  • International Class UKT (Single Tuition Fee): The amount of the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) is adjusted to international class standards.
  • IPI (Institutional Development Fee): Subject to Category 4 IPI. (Note: For precise figures and detailed fee breakdowns, please refer directly to the official UNNES Admission website portal).
