Semarang — The Biology Student Association (Himabio) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), demonstrated social care through the BiCare (Biology Care) program initiated by Himabio’s Social Department. This program serves as a form of solidarity among Biology students to help fellow students experiencing misfortune.

Through BiCare, Biology students are invited to participate in voluntary donations. The collected donations are used to support Biology students in need due to misfortunes they have experienced. A total of 40 affected students received assistance in April 2025, amounting to 5 million rupiah.

This program serves not only as a means of fundraising, but also as a tangible manifestation of humanitarian values and togetherness within the academic environment. Through BiCare, Himabio strives to foster empathy and encourage students to support one another when a member of the extended Biology family faces difficult situations.

This initiative aligns with the spirit of mutual cooperation and social awareness that needs to be continuously developed in higher education environments. Student participation, no matter how small, is expected to provide benefits and strengthen fellow students facing hardships.

Through BiCare, Himabio FMIPA UNNES hopes that a culture of mutual care and assistance can continue to grow among students. The spirit of Biology Care serves as a reminder that togetherness is realized not only in academic and organizational activities, but also in caring for others.
