Community Service Program

Real Work Lecture (KKN) is a Compulsory Course that must be taken by all undergraduate students at Semarang State University (Unnes). The existence of this activity is intended as a concrete form of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely education, research, and community service. Education will not be meaningful without being based on research. Likewise, the substance of lectures is less than optimal without being based on research results. Therefore, to help solve community problems, lecture materials and research findings should be dedicated to the community. Community Service Program activities are carried out in an interdisciplinary manner and are a form of integration between education, research and community service activities, whose concept is different from other forms of student activity.

UNNES KKN activities not only prepare students to become human beings of development, but also a manifestation of higher education responsibility through student service. These activities are intended to help solve development problems faced by the community in order to realize prosperity while still paying attention to environmental preservation (conservation) which is not only limited physically but is more than that, which is essential in maintaining a balance of rights and obligations. This is in accordance with the mission of Semarang State University as a Conservation University.
