The Undergraduate Political Science Study Program of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Negeri Semarang, has once again achieved a remarkable milestone by receiving the status of “Excellent Accreditation” from LAMSPAK (Independent Accreditation Agency for Social, Political, Administrative, and Communication Sciences). The accreditation status was officially established through the Executive Board Decree of LAMSPAK Number 112/AK.03.05/2026 dated 27 April 2026 and will remain valid until 27 April 2031.
This achievement serves as clear evidence of the quality of academic governance, teaching and learning processes, research, community service, and institutional partnerships continuously developed by the Political Science Study Program of FISIP UNNES. According to the accreditation decree, the program obtained an accreditation score of 280 and was declared to have fulfilled all higher education quality standards established by LAMSPAK.
Faculty leaders expressed their appreciation and pride for the dedication and hard work of the entire academic community, including lecturers, educational staff, students, alumni, and institutional partners, all of whom contributed to the continuous quality improvement of the study program. This accomplishment also reflects FISIP UNNES’s commitment to providing adaptive, innovative, and globally oriented higher education.
The attainment of “Excellent Accreditation” further reinforces FISIP UNNES’s contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education. Through the strengthening of academic standards, institutional governance, and graduate quality, the Political Science Study Program continues to provide higher education that is inclusive, high-quality, and relevant to contemporary socio-political challenges.
In addition, the enhancement of institutional quality and educational governance aligns with SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, through efforts to produce graduates with integrity, leadership capacity, and competencies in politics, democracy, and public policy.
With this achievement, the Political Science Study Program of FISIP UNNES is expected to further enhance its competitiveness at both national and international levels, while strengthening its role as a leading and impactful center for political science development.
