The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas Negeri Semarang has officially issued the 2026 Guidelines for Research and Community Service funded by the LPPM DPA as the primary reference for planning, implementation, and reporting of research and community service activities for lecturers, educational staff, and students at UNNES. Established in Semarang on 31 December 2025, the guidelines provide comprehensive directions covering management, proposal submission, implementation, funding disbursement, and reporting mechanisms.
The guidelines stipulate that all applicants must meet the requirements of the selected funding scheme, including having no more than one outstanding output from internationally reputable journal publications during the 2022–2024 period. Research and community service proposals must follow the prescribed formatting guidelines, include a similarity check (Turnitin) result of no more than 25 percent, and be submitted through the Research and Community Service Information System (SIPP). For funded proposals, principal investigators are required to obtain Ethical Clearance prior to data collection.
The 2026 DPA LPPM UNNES Guidelines also emphasize the mandatory integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Asta Cita of the President of the Republic of Indonesia in all research and community service activities. All scholarly outputs are required to include SDGs-related keywords and demonstrate alignment with national strategic policies in accordance with the relevant funding scheme. This requirement reflects UNNES’s strong commitment to advancing sustainable development through the implementation of the university’s tridharma.
Funding disbursement for research and community service projects is conducted in two stages: 70 percent in the first phase and 30 percent in the second phase, subject to the fulfillment of administrative requirements and the completion of required outputs. In addition, LPPM UNNES provides support for Article Processing Charges (APC) for internationally reputable journals, Scopus-indexed proceedings, and Scopus-indexed book chapters, in accordance with the applicable terms and maximum funding limits.
A wide range of research and community service schemes are offered under the 2026 guidelines, including Basic Research, National and International Collaborative Research, Applied Research, Research Downstreaming and Commercialization, Advanced Innovation Research, Strategic Policy Studies, Lecturer Research, Student Research, Educational Staff Research, as well as Community Service programs conducted by lecturers and student organizations. Each scheme is accompanied by clear provisions regarding eligibility, team composition, funding allocation, and mandatory outputs.
With the issuance of the 2026 DPA LPPM UNNES Research and Community Service Guidelines, all members of the UNNES academic community are encouraged to utilize this opportunity to enhance the quality, relevance, and impact of their research and community service initiatives. These activities are expected not only to produce reputable academic outputs, but also to generate tangible benefits for society and contribute meaningfully to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
