Two lecturers from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) received awards at the Innovation Award 2025 event organized by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) UNNES. The awards were presented to Prof. Juhadi from the Geography Study Program and Evany Sofia Prameswari from the Political Science Study Program.
Prof. Juhadi earned recognition in the lecturer category through his work titled LINDU-V2, a landslide movement monitoring system based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). The system was developed to aid in disaster mitigation and reduce the risk of accidents in landslide-prone areas.
A doctoral graduate in Geography from Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Prof. Juhadi expressed hope that his innovation would benefit many people.“For me, this award is a great honor. It’s not about pursuing recognition, but about ensuring that our research truly benefits society. This system is expected to help make faster and more accurate decisions during disaster situations,” he said.
Meanwhile, Evany Sofia Prameswari received the award as the second-best start-up tenant in the category of research-based business development.“In the future, I hope to collaborate with local brands around Semarang or Central Java,” Evany said.
Dean of FISIP UNNES, Prof. Arif Purnomo, conveyed his appreciation for the achievements of the two lecturers.“Congratulations to Prof. Juhadi and Evany. May this accomplishment inspire and motivate the entire FISIP academic community to continue innovating and contributing to society,” he stated.
