On Saturday, May 20, in commemoration of Earth Day, the Social Adventure Club (SAC) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) successfully organized its 15th mangrove planting and rehabilitation event. The activity, which was held at Tirang Beach, is a concrete step in maintaining and restoring the mangrove ecosystem which is very important for the environment.
In this activity, 1000 mangrove seedlings were successfully planted that will grow and develop in Tirang Beach, providing long-term benefits for the sustainability of marine and terrestrial ecosystems. The mangrove planting and rehabilitation activity was not only attended by students from various departments at UNNES, but also by the general public who care about environmental conservation.
This activity provided valuable experience for the 60 participants who participated in the activity. In addition to planting mangrove seedlings, participants also gained a deeper understanding of the mangrove ecosystem and its important role in maintaining the balance of the marine ecosystem.
The Dean of FISIP UNNES, Dr. Arif Purnomo, S.Pd., S.S., M.Pd., welcomed the active participation of students and the community in this activity.
