FIS UNNES – Sudah ketiga kali ini, FIS UNNES menggelar konferensi internasional dengan tajuk The 3rd International Conference on Rural Studies in Asia (ICORSIA), dan tahun 2020 ini mengangkat tema Sustainability of Rural Environment and Communities.

Sesuai dengan arahan Dekan FIS UNNES, Dr. Moh. Solehatul Mustofa, M.A. bahwa ICORSIA 2020 kali ini harus dilaksanakan secara daring pada tanggal 12-13 Agustus 2020, akibat masih rentannya penularan covid-19 di era adaptasi kebiasaan baru saat ini.

Acara diawali dengan Laporan Ketua Panitia ICORSIA 2020, Prof. Dr. Wasino, M.Hum yang juga Wakil Dekan Bidang Akademik FIS UNNES. Kemudian dilanjutkan pembukaan dan keynote speaker oleh Rektor UNNES, dalam hal ini diwakili oleh Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik UNNES, Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, S.E, M.Si,Akt.  

Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, S.E, M.Si,Akt menyambut dengan penuh semangat atas terselenggaranya ICORSIA yang ketiga ini, dan menaruh harapan yang tinggi kepada FIS UNNES agar terus dapat meningkatkan karya-karya ilmiah dan publikasi terutama dalam bidang ilmu-ilmu sosial, khususnya tentang kajian pedesaan di Asia. Hal tersebut sangat penting dalam rangka mendukung UNNES sebagai rumah ilmu yang berwawasan konservasi dan bereputasi internasional. Beliau juga menyatakan bahwa UNNES siap menjalin kerja sama dengan berbagai mitra di dalam negeri maupun luar negeri, terutama untuk meningkatkan kualitas akademik dan keilmuan serta fungsi Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi.

Ada tiga pembicara utama dalam ICORSIA 2020, yakni Prof A Rahman Tang Abdullah (Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia), Dr. Nasir bin Nayan (Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia), dan Dr. Juhadi, M.Si (Universitas Negeri Semarang, Indonesia). Masing-masing pembicara menyampaikan paper sesuai dengan keahlian masing-masing.

Ketua Panitia ICORSIA, Prof. Wasino menyampaikan bahwa konferensi ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya menyediakan wadah bagi seluruh akademisi dan peneliti untuk berbagi pengalaman dan pemahaman serta berkolaborasi dalam lingkup yang lebih luas untuk mewujudkan tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Selain itu, ICORSIA sekaligus untuk semakin meningkatkan reputasi UNNES sebagai Universitas Berwawasan Konservasi dan Bereputasi Internasional.

Adapun sub-topik masalah lingkungan yang dibahas dalam ICORSIA 2020 antara lain tentang iklim; energi; sumber daya alami; ekonomi, kebijakan, dan hukum; lingkungan dan pembangunan; sumber air, dan geografi. Sedangkan sub topik masalah sosial-politik meliputi politik dan pemerintahan desa, gender dan pemberdayaan pedesaan, masyarakat pedesaan, dan pembangunan pedesaan-perkotaan.

Sekitar 87 artikel proseding ilmiah dari pemakalah yang berasal dari dalam negeri maupun luar negeri seperti Malaysia, Nepal, Taiwan secara resmi diterima oleh panitia. Semua pemakalah akan mempresentasikan paper secara daring sesuai jadwal yang telah ditetapkan panitia selama 2 hari.

“Semua makalah yang terpilih akan diterbitkan dalam proses oleh penerbit internasional terkemuka dan terindeks, makalah terpilih dapat diterbitkan dalam jurnal terindeks Scopus dengan biaya tambahan”, kata Prof. Wasino selaku ketua ICORSIA 2020.
