Delegasi FMIPA UNNES bersama perwakilan UPSI dalam pertemuan kolaborasi akademik internasional di Malaysia.

SEMARANG — Program Studi Kimia Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Semarang (FMIPA UNNES) terus memperkuat internasionalisasi pendidikan dan riset melalui kunjungan akademik strategis ke Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Perak, Malaysia.

Delegasi FMIPA UNNES yang dipimpin oleh pakar kimia, Prof. Dr. Nanik Wijayati, M.Si., mengunjungi sejumlah pusat akademik dan riset di lingkungan UPSI. Kunjungan tersebut diarahkan untuk membuka peluang kolaborasi riset, meningkatkan mobilitas akademik, serta mengembangkan inovasi sains berkelas dunia.

Agenda pertama dilaksanakan di International, Mobility and Advanced Education Centre (IMAC) UPSI, yang menjadi pusat pengelolaan kerja sama global dan mobilitas akademik internasional. Dalam pertemuan tersebut, tim UNNES dan UPSI membahas penguatan program Inbound Lecturer, pertukaran dosen dan mahasiswa, serta peluang pelaksanaan program visiting researcher.

Kolaborasi tersebut menjadi bentuk komitmen kedua institusi dalam mendukung SDG 17: Kemitraan untuk Mencapai Tujuan (Partnerships for the Goals) dan SDG 4: Pendidikan Berkualitas (Quality Education). Program mobilitas akademik diharapkan dapat memperluas wawasan internasional sivitas akademika sekaligus meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi lintas negara.

Delegasi FMIPA UNNES dan UPSI menunjukkan semangat kolaborasi internasional untuk mendukung pendidikan berkualitas dan pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals.

Kunjungan kemudian dilanjutkan ke pusat riset UPSI. Bersama pakar kimia senior UPSI, Prof. Dr. Illyas Md Isa, kedua pihak membahas peta jalan riset kolaboratif (joint research) serta strategi meningkatkan jumlah dan kualitas publikasi ilmiah bersama (joint publications) pada jurnal internasional bereputasi.

Sinergi antarpeneliti tersebut diarahkan untuk menjawab berbagai tantangan global dalam bidang kimia, material fungsional, dan teknologi nano. Upaya ini sejalan dengan SDG 9: Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), terutama melalui penguatan ekosistem riset dan pengembangan inovasi yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat serta industri.

Delegasi FMIPA UNNES juga meninjau fasilitas Pusat Nano UPSI sebagai salah satu sarana pengembangan ilmu dan teknologi nano. Kunjungan ini membuka peluang pemanfaatan fasilitas riset, pertukaran data analitis, serta pelaksanaan pengujian laboratorium bersama antara peneliti UNNES dan UPSI.

Pusat Nano UPSI menjadi salah satu fasilitas yang dikunjungi untuk membuka peluang kolaborasi dalam bidang material, teknologi nano, dan pengujian laboratorium bersama.

Prof. Nanik Wijayati menyampaikan bahwa kolaborasi internasional tersebut tidak hanya diarahkan untuk memperluas jejaring kelembagaan, tetapi juga untuk menghasilkan program akademik dan penelitian yang memberikan dampak nyata.

“Kolaborasi internasional merupakan bagian penting dalam membangun ekosistem pendidikan dan riset yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Melalui kerja sama ini, kami berharap dapat menghadirkan kegiatan akademik, riset bersama, dan inovasi yang bermanfaat bagi kedua institusi serta masyarakat,” ujar Prof. Nanik.

Melalui rangkaian kunjungan tersebut, Prodi Kimia FMIPA UNNES dan UPSI berkomitmen untuk membangun ekosistem akademik yang inovatif, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan. Sinergi ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan mobilitas dosen dan mahasiswa, memperkuat publikasi internasional, serta menghasilkan inovasi ilmu kimia yang berkontribusi terhadap kemajuan sains dan pembangunan global.
