Perwakilan FMIPA UNNES dan Universiti Malaya menunjukkan dokumen kerja sama bidang pendidikan dan riset kimia.

SEMARANG — Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) terus memperkuat langkahnya sebagai perguruan tinggi berwawasan global yang berkomitmen terhadap agenda pembangunan berkelanjutan. Melalui kunjungan akademik strategis, pakar kimia UNNES, Prof. Dr. Nanik Wijayati, M.Si., beserta tim mengunjungi Jabatan Kimia Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia, pada Jumat, 17 Juli 2026.

Kunjungan tersebut berfokus pada koordinasi Implementation of Arrangement (IoA) untuk program Inbound Lecturer serta pembahasan kolaborasi riset internasional. Kedatangan tim UNNES disambut oleh Ketua Jabatan Kimia Universiti Malaya, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nor Kartini binti Abu Bakar, bersama Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norazilawati Muhamad Sarih.

Tim Program Studi Kimia FMIPA UNNES bersama jajaran Jabatan Kimia Universiti Malaya dalam kunjungan akademik untuk membahas program pertukaran dosen dan penguatan kolaborasi riset internasional.

Prof. Nanik Wijayati menegaskan bahwa kolaborasi lintas negara ini bukan sekadar untuk memenuhi indikator kinerja utama perguruan tinggi, melainkan menjadi langkah nyata dalam mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya SDG 17: Kemitraan untuk Mencapai Tujuan (Partnerships for the Goals).

“Kunjungan akademik ini sangat penting untuk mempercepat pencapaian indikator kinerja utama perguruan tinggi, terutama dalam aspek kolaborasi riset global dan mobilitas dosen lintas negara. Melalui jejaring internasional ini, kita bersama-sama membangun ekosistem pendidikan tinggi yang mampu menjawab berbagai tantangan global,” ujar Prof. Nanik.

Melalui kerja sama dengan Universiti Malaya, yang merupakan salah satu perguruan tinggi terkemuka di Asia Tenggara, FMIPA UNNES berharap dapat mendorong peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas publikasi ilmiah bersama (joint publications) pada jurnal bereputasi. Program ini sekaligus mempertegas posisi UNNES sebagai perguruan tinggi bereputasi internasional.

Inisiatif kolaboratif antara FMIPA UNNES dan Universiti Malaya tersebut berkontribusi secara langsung terhadap pencapaian tiga tujuan utama SDGs.

SDG 17: Kemitraan untuk Mencapai Tujuan diwujudkan melalui penandatanganan dokumen IoA serta penguatan program Inbound Lecturer dan Outbound Lecturer. Program tersebut diharapkan dapat mempererat aliansi strategis antara Indonesia dan Malaysia dalam pengembangan sains dan teknologi.

SDG 4: Pendidikan Berkualitas didukung melalui program pertukaran pengajar dan pakar kimia antara Universiti Malaya dan UNNES. Program ini bertujuan memperkaya pengalaman belajar mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran, wawasan, dan praktik akademik berstandar internasional.

Sementara itu, SDG 9: Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur diwujudkan melalui inisiasi riset bersama (joint research) serta peningkatan publikasi ilmiah bersama pada jurnal bereputasi. Kolaborasi tersebut diharapkan mampu menghasilkan inovasi dalam bidang material dan ilmu kimia yang memberikan manfaat nyata bagi masyarakat dan industri.

Melalui sinergi ini, Program Studi Kimia FMIPA UNNES optimistis dapat menghasilkan lulusan dan karya ilmiah unggulan yang tidak hanya diakui secara internasional, tetapi juga memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi keberlanjutan, kelestarian lingkungan, dan kemajuan global.
