The MIPA Training Unit (Guslat MIPA) of the Scout Student Activity Unit at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) organized the 2026 Higher Education Scouting Orientation (OKPT 2026) at the D.1 Building Auditorium, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNNES, on Sunday, August 23, 2026. Conducted in a hybrid format (onsite and online), the event welcomed new students from both FMIPA and the Faculty of Medicine (FK) UNNES. The opening ceremony was attended by the Dean of FMIPA UNNES, Prof. Dr. Edy Cahyono, M.Si., Dean of FK UNNES, Prof. Dr. dr. Mahalul Azam, M.Kes., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FK, dr. RR. Sri Ratna Rahayu, M.Kes., Ph.D., and Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FMIPA, Zaenal Abidin, Ph.D. OKPT 2026 forms an integral part of the new student welcoming program organized by Semarang City Front Troop 14.111–14.112 based on the Wijaya-Tunggawijaya Ambalan and Racana.

Organized at the faculty level by Guslat and the Coordination Council, the program served as an orientation platform designed to shape character and assist new students in adapting to a conservation-oriented university ecosystem. Beyond fostering leadership, integrity, environmental consciousness, and social responsibility, OKPT 2026 featured interactive learning sessions linking Dasa Dharma Pramuka (Scout Code of Honor) with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants were encouraged to translate these scout values into concrete actions within academic and social spheres, highlighting the contemporary relevance of scouting in addressing global development challenges.

The integration of scouting values and global sustainability awareness in OKPT 2026 directly advances three key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). First, the program supports Quality Education (SDG 4) by delivering comprehensive character, leadership, and moral orientation for freshmen. Second, it contributes to Climate Action (SDG 13) and Life on Land (SDG 15) by instilling environmental stewardship within a conservation-driven campus environment. Finally, the initiative embodies Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) through active collaboration among scouting units, faculty leadership across FMIPA and FK, and incoming students.
