The curriculum of the study programs at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences is complemented by an emphasis on the independence of study, both on the aspects of educational institutions, lecturers, and especially students. This 2020 curriculum is named Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka Curriculum (MBKM).
The curriculum that refers to the freedom of learning gives the university the autonomy to design a simple but up-to-date learning bureaucracy system so lecturers can teach. Students can study according to the courses and studies they want to experience and develop. Mastering the appropriate field of science will be very useful when entering the world of work.
The Law on the Freedom of Learning Policy can be seen in the Permendikbud No. 3 the Year 2020 on the National Education Standards Higher Education section 18, which explains that the fulfillment of the learning time and the learning burden for students of the undergraduate program can be done in two ways: students follow the learning process of the original study program in their high school according to the time and load of their studies. This legal foundation guided the Program of Studies at FISIP UNNES in perfecting the curriculum.
Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Curriculum there are seven groups of courses namely, University Course (MKU); Basic Course of Excellence (MKDK); Faculty of Social Sciences Course(MKFIS); Study Programme Course; Programme of Study Course, MK Programme; School Course Introduction to School Field, School of Real Work, Thesis (PLP-KKN-Scripti); and Study Development Course (MKPP Pilihan). Some courses within the MKPP group are designed to be carried out using a learning platform in a network (online).
