The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Universitas Negeri Semarang (FISIP UNNES) continues to expand its international engagement by welcoming three students from France through the Academic Internship Program. The official reception took place on Wednesday, 1 April 2026, at the Meeting Room of the New FISIP Building, and was attended by the Dean of FISIP, Arif Purnomo, the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Fadly Husain, and a representative lecturer from the Communication Science Study Program, Restu Ayu Mumpuni.
The three students—RLoane Julie Fumanal (IUT de Paris – Rives de Seine), Nathan Etienne Guillaume Roux (Sciences Po Toulouse), and Jade Thanh Quy To (Sciences Po Bordeaux)—will undertake an on-site internship at the Integrated Laboratory of FISIP UNNES for a period of 8 to 24 weeks, spanning March to August 2026. During the program, they will be under the academic supervision of Dr. scient. med. Fadly Husain, M.Si.
Throughout the internship, the students will engage in various activities, including managing administrative and office operations within the Integrated Laboratory, producing documentary films in collaboration with student communities on social issues, managing student activity centers based on community engagement, and participating in academic and cultural activities such as thematic discussions and summer school programs.
This program not only provides a platform for cross-cultural learning but also reinforces FISIP UNNES’s contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It aligns with Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting international learning experiences, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through global academic collaboration. Additionally, the students’ involvement in addressing social issues supports broader awareness of sustainable development at the global level.
Through this initiative, FISIP UNNES reaffirms its role as an adaptive, open, and globally oriented higher education institution, while serving as a collaborative space that brings together international perspectives to address contemporary social challenges.
