Students from the History Study Program dominated the 2026 Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP). Rahma Danisa Eka Safitri secured first place, while second place was awarded to Herlina Putri Khawismaya.
Both winners are students of the History Study Program and outperformed eight other contestants from various study programs within FISIP. The selection process took place at the C7 Hall, FISIP Sekaran Campus, Gunungpati, Semarang, on Tuesday (February 4, 2026).
Rahma Danisa Eka Safitri admitted she did not expect to win first place. The student, who is currently undertaking an internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, initially aimed to finish in the top three of the competition.
Danisa achieved the highest score through an innovative idea in history learning media. She presented a paper titled Nusantara: Platform Digital Interaktif Berbasis Media Sosial Dan Gamifikasi Untuk Pembelajaran Sejarah Di Kota Semarang Dalam Mendukung SDGs.
The “Nusantara” digital platform emphasizes the use of technology to present history learning in an engaging, participatory, and contextual way through the integration of social media and gamification. The platform aims to enhance historical literacy and public awareness, particularly among younger generations in the digital era.
The development of the platform is structured in several stages, including planning, pilot testing and evaluation, digital production and distribution, implementation, and continuous monitoring and evaluation. These stages are designed to ensure learning effectiveness and sustainable platform development.
The Coordinator of the History Study Program, Mukhamad Shokheh, Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for the students’ achievements. He described the accomplishment as an important milestone in students’ academic careers, especially amid the challenge of balancing competition preparation and internship responsibilities.
Following her victory at the faculty level, Rahma Danisa Eka Safitri will proceed to the university-level Outstanding Student Selection, scheduled to take place from February 10 to 31, 2026.
