Another proud achievement was made by students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). A team consisting of Rahma Danisa Eka Safitri (History Program, Class of 2023) and Ikke Nur Istiqomah (Sociology and Anthropology Education Program, Class of 2023) successfully won First Place for Best Idea at the Lenterantro National Essay Competition 2025.
This prestigious national competition was organized by the Student Association of Social Anthropology (KAWAN), Diponegoro University, through the Research and Development of Student Creativity (Serendipity) division, on Sunday, September 21, 2025. The event served as a platform for university students across Indonesia to present innovative and solution-oriented ideas addressing contemporary social and cultural issues.
Under the supervision of Eka Yuniati, S.Pd., M.A., the FISIP UNNES team presented an original, relevant, and impactful idea aimed at increasing social awareness within the community. Through a strong analytical framework grounded in social and cultural studies, they were able to formulate ideas that are not only critical but also applicable in fostering inclusive and equitable community development in Indonesia.
The faculty expressed its highest appreciation for this achievement. The Dean of FISIP UNNES stated that this victory is evidence of the intellectual quality and creativity of FISIP students in responding to contemporary challenges. Beyond strengthening UNNES’s academic reputation at the national level, this achievement also aligns with the university’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
Through this accomplishment, FISIP UNNES students are expected to continue nurturing their critical thinking, academic writing, and social engagement skills, making meaningful contributions to society and advancing the field of social sciences in Indonesia.
