The FISIP Entrepreneurship Expo returned for its third year, held at the FISIP parking area, Sekaran, Gunungpati, Semarang. This annual event showcased 261 student business products, with a majority coming from the culinary sector.
The Dean of FISIP, Prof. Arif Purnomo, said the event serves as a platform for students to apply their entrepreneurship learning in real world setting.“This expo is a display of students’ entrepreneurial learning abilities, as well as an important preparation for their future careers and ventures,” he said on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
As part of its support, the faculty gave recognition to nine outstanding teams, assessed based on their sales performance and business reporting. Each selected team received Rp750,000 in business development capital.“This funding is intended to encourage students to further develop their ventures. We want to motivate them to take their business management more seriously,” Arif added.
The Rector of UNNES, Prof. S. Martono, emphasized that student-run culinary businesses have great potential and should continue to grow. He also encouraged the university to utilize student products in campus activities.“Student culinary businesses must keep developing. Their products can be procured by the university, for example, for meetings or official campus events,” said Martono.

One of the participants, Fantika Della, a student from the Sociology and Anthropology Education Program, joined the expo with her brand Doubites Donut. Her main products are sweet donuts and mentai donuts filled with sausages.“I love donuts and mentai dim sum, so I combined them into a business idea. Two sweet donuts sell for Rp5,000, while mentai donuts are Rp10,000 each,” she explained.
Fantika shared that she sold more than 50 donuts during the expo. She hopes her small business will continue to grow and become part of UNNES’s student entrepreneurship network.
