A total of 261 student business products from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science (FISIP) will be showcased at the FISIP Entrepreneurship Expo 2025, which will take place on Thursday (October 30) at the FISIP parking area, Sekaran, Gunungpati, Semarang.
The event serves as a platform for third-semester students to exhibit and market their products developed through the Entrepreneurship course. The products include items from the culinary, fashion, and service sectors.
“FISIP provides a space for students to practice entrepreneurship. This activity will serve as valuable experience for them to eventually start their own businesses,” said Prof. Heri Cahyono, Vice Dean for Planning and Resources, on Tuesday (October 28).
Prof. Heri added that students are required to set up their booths on Wednesday afternoon. The expo will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday and will be officially opened by the Rector of UNNES.
In addition to student participants, several partners will also take part in the event, including Bank Mandiri, Bank BTN, BNI, and Wardah Cosmetics, each opening booths at the venue.
The student exhibition is part of the FISIP Fest 2025, a series of activities held throughout October. Other events include “Alumni Back to Campus,” which connects current students with alumni through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and experience-sharing sessions.
“This Faculty Month agenda provides a platform for alumni to contribute back to campus—as practitioners, guest lecturers, or discussion participants,” said Prof. Arif Purnomo, Dean of FISIP.
He added that these activities are part of FISIP’s ongoing efforts to promote excellence in social sciences education and strengthen the faculty’s national reputation.
Previously, FISIP UNNES also held the Water Sustainability Symposium, focusing on support for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly ensuring access to clean and sustainable water for communities.
