PPKn Student of FISIP UNNES Wins 3rd Place in National Essay Competition EKSPLORA 2025

Semarang, September 15, 2025 – Another proud achievement has been made by a student of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). Millati Islamia Hanifa (Student ID: 2403050138), a 2024 student of the Civic Education (PPKn) Department, successfully won 3rd Place in the 2025 National Essay Competition at the EKSPLORA event organized by the Student Association of the Sharia Tourism Study Program, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, on September 12, 2025.

Carrying the theme “The Role of Young Generation in the Transformation of Indonesian Tourism”, Millati presented fresh ideas on how youth can contribute to developing a sustainable, inclusive, and locally-based tourism sector. Her essay reflected both concern and critical analysis in responding to the challenges of tourism transformation in Indonesia amid globalization.

This success cannot be separated from the academic guidance provided by her supervisor, Dr. Tutik Wijayanti, S.Pd., M.Pd., who consistently encourages students to hone their scientific writing skills and compete at the national level. This achievement serves as concrete proof of the quality of academic mentoring within the Civic Education Department of FISIP UNNES.

The FISIP UNNES community expressed deep appreciation and pride for Millati’s accomplishment. Beyond bringing honor to the university, this success is also expected to inspire other students to continue creating, innovating, and contributing through various academic competitions.
