FISIP UNNES Student Gesner Elbaryo Naftali Wins 1st Place in National Orienteering Competition in Jakarta

Semarang, September 21, 2025 – Another proud achievement has been made by a student of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). Gesner Elbaryo Naftali, a student of the Sociology and Anthropology Education Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), successfully won 1st place in the M21 Elite category at the Himpala Esa Unggul Orienteering Competition, held at Universitas Esa Unggul, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, on September 19–20, 2025.

In the national-level individual sprint format competition, Gesner outperformed two tough competitors: Muhammad Asep Sumardi from 328 Dirgahayu Orienteering TNI AD, who won 2nd place, and Adam Pranata from Balarata Orienteering Club, who secured 3rd place. This achievement serves as concrete proof of the fighting spirit of UNNES students to continue excelling and bringing pride to their alma mater at the national level.

For this accomplishment, the entire academic community of FISIP UNNES extends its deepest appreciation and pride to Gesner. This achievement not only demonstrates individual excellence but also reflects the quality of coaching, the spirit of healthy competition, and the consistency of students in developing their potential.
