Meningkatkan jumlah riset empat dosen FISIP UNNES berkunjung ke Universitas Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) 23 sampai 26 Oktober 2024. Delegasi FISIP UNNES yaitu Wakil Dekan Bidang Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan FISIP UNNES Fadly Husain, Atika Wijaya dari program studi Pendidikan Sosiologi dan Antropologi), Martien Herna dari program studi Ilmu Politik, dan Ganda Febri Kurniawan dari program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah.

Kegiatan itu dilaksanakan sebagai lanjutan dari kolaborasi riset antara Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Negeri Semarang dengan Fakulti Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan UKM. Kerjasama ini yang telah dilangsungkan sejak Maret 2024.

Kunjungan itu juga untuk mengevaluasi kerjasama riset dan mendiskusikan hasil riset yang telah dilakukan. Kegiatan juga diselingi dengan pembahasan mengenai rencana kerjasama lanjutan untuk tahun 2025 mendatang.

Di FSSK UKM, delegasi FISIP diterima oleh Prof. Dr. Novel Lyndon yang merupakan Ketua Pusat Kajian Pembangunan, Sosial dan Persekitaran, dan Dr. Mimi Hanida binti Abdul Mutalib yang juga merupakan Peneliti di Pusat tersebut. Keduanya adalah Adjunct Professor di FISIP UNNES.

Visiting researcher bertujuan untuk memperluas jaringan akademik, meningkatkan kolaborasi penelitian, dan memperdalam wawasan ilmiah dalam lingkungan yang berbeda dari institusi asal. Dalam program ini, peneliti memiliki kesempatan untuk berbagi pengetahuan, mengakses sumber daya atau fasilitas yang mungkin tidak tersedia di institusi mereka sendiri.

Kegiatan ini untuk mengembangkan keterampilan baru dengan bekerja bersama para ahli di bidang yang relevan. Program ini juga mendukung penyebaran hasil penelitian dan praktik terbaik, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi pada kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan pertukaran budaya akademik antara institusi yang berbeda.

Rencananya tahun depan kegiatan kolaborasi riset akan dilanjutkan, ditambah dengan pertukaran mahasiswa, kunjungan dosen antar universitas, dan kolaborasi akademik lainnya yang masih dalam proses diskusi. Kedua belah pihak berharap supaya kerjasama ini dapat terus dipertahankan dan diperkuat untuk memajukan riset bagi kedua Lembaga.
