The Faculty of Economics, State University of Semarang, held a virtual International Conference on Economics, Business and Economic Education (ICE-BEES). ICE-BEES will be held for two days, namely 27-28 July 2021, with the theme “Innovation in economics, business, and education for sustainable environment during Covid-19 Pandemic”.
This International Conference presents plenary speakers who are experts in their fields. They are James P Walsh, Ph. D from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Senior Resident Representative for Indonesia. Besides James, Ph. D also attended Prof. Martina Linnenluecke (Macquarie University, Australia), and was Dr. Kasim Hj Md Mansur (Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia) also Dr. Vitradesie Noekent, MM as plenary speakers.
ICE-BEES Faculty of Economics 2021 was officially opened by the Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman, M. Hum. In his speech, Prof. Fathur appreciated FE UNNES for successfully holding an International Conference with the participation of various countries.
“I appreciate the Faculty of Economics and the Dean for the implementation of the 2021 ICE-BEES. The participation of the participants was extraordinary from the national and international arenas. This confirms UNNES according to its vision, which is to become a university of international reputation,” said Prof. Fathur.
The Dean of FE, Prof. Heri Yanto, M.B.A., Ph. D also welcomed the international cooperation in ICE-BEES 2021.
“Sir, ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you to the Faculty of Economics, State University of Semarang. This time ICE-BEES was attended by participants and presenters from various parts of the world. There are 215 presenters from various countries, including Indonesia, United Kingdom, United States of America, Australia, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Thailand”.
On the same occasion, Prof. Heri Yanto also expressed his gratitude to the speakers, collaboration partners and presenters who have participated in the 2021 ICE-BEES.
“Thanks to all of the speakers, Mr. James from IMF, Prof. Martina Macquarie University Australia, Prof. Kasim UMS Malaysia and also Dr. Vitradesie, who has shared his knowledge. We also express our appreciation to the cooperation partners and all parties who have been involved in this event,” added Prof. Heri Yanto.
The Faculty of Economics, UNNES, collaborates with several universities in organizing the 2021 ICE-BEES, namely Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Universiti Malaysia Sabah and also Universitas Tidar.
