UNNES Jajaki Kerja Sama, Dosen Berkesempatan Belajar di India

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menerima kunjungan dari Kedutaan Besar India di Jakarta dalam rangka menjajaki potensi kerja sama internasional di bidang pendidikan dan kebudayaan, Senin (4/5).

Kunjungan tersebut dihadiri oleh Mr. Kamal Khurana, Director Jawaharlal Nehru Indian Cultural Centre (JNICC), Mr. Sunil Karamchandani, Teacher of Indian Culture JNICC, serta Mr. Azis, Cultural Administration Executive Kedutaan Besar India di Jakarta.

Rombongan diterima oleh Wakil Rektor IV Bidang Perencanaan dan Kerja Sama, Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, M.T., didampingi Kepala dan Sekretaris Kantor Urusan Internasional (KUI), serta Wakil Dekan III dari berbagai fakultas di lingkungan UNNES.

Dalam pertemuan tersebut, Mr. Kamal Khurana menawarkan peluang kerja sama melalui program ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) dan ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation). Program ini membuka kesempatan bagi dosen untuk mengikuti pelatihan dan peningkatan kapasitas di berbagai institusi di India dengan durasi mulai dari dua minggu hingga beberapa bulan.

Wakil Rektor IV UNNES, Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, M.T., menyambut baik peluang kerja sama tersebut dan mendorong tindak lanjut di tingkat fakultas.

“Kami menyambut baik tawaran kerja sama ini dan akan menindaklanjuti peluang dengan mengidentifikasi bidang yang relevan serta mendorong partisipasi dosen di tingkat fakultas,” ungkap Prof. Nur Qudus.

Program tersebut mencakup berbagai fasilitas, antara lain tiket perjalanan internasional, akomodasi, biaya pelatihan, serta tunjangan hidup selama mengikuti program. Adapun bidang yang ditawarkan cukup beragam, meliputi teknologi informasi, kecerdasan buatan (AI), manajemen dan kepemimpinan, pendidikan, teknik dan rekayasa, bahasa Inggris, kesehatan dan yoga, serta lingkungan dan energi terbarukan.

Selain itu, kegiatan juga diisi dengan kuliah umum oleh Mr. Sunil Karamchandani di Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK) yang diikuti sekitar 400 mahasiswa. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari rangkaian Curtain Raiser 100 Days Countdown International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026.

Sebagai penutup, rombongan melakukan kunjungan ke Rumah Ilmu UNNES untuk meninjau fasilitas India Corner, sebagai pusat informasi budaya dan pendidikan India di UNNES.

Kunjungan ini diharapkan dapat membuka peluang kolaborasi antara UNNES dan India, khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan, pengembangan sumber daya manusia, serta pertukaran budaya.
