Dosen FMIPA UNNES dan masyarakat Tambakrejo mengikuti kegiatan edukasi kesiapsiagaan bencana.

Semarang – Dosen FMIPA Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Prof. Nana Kariada Tri Martuti dan tim, melaksanakan program pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kapasitas kawasan rawan banjir dan kebakaran di Kelurahan Tambakrejo, Kecamatan Gayamsari, Kota Semarang. Sebagian wilayah Kelurahan Tambakrejo merupakan kawasan permukiman kumuh yang berada di dataran rendah dan memiliki kerentanan tinggi terhadap banjir maupun kebakaran, sehingga diperlukan upaya penguatan kapasitas masyarakat dan satuan pendidikan dalam menghadapi risiko bencana. Program ini diwujudkan melalui pembentukan Satuan Pendidikan Aman Bencana (SPAB) di SD Negeri Tambakrejo 3, penguatan kapasitas masyarakat, serta pembangunan Flood Early Warning System (EWS) sebagai bagian dari upaya pengurangan risiko bencana.

Kegiatan diawali dengan pemetaan partisipatif risiko bencana yang menunjukkan bahwa wilayah Tambakrejo memiliki tingkat ancaman tinggi terhadap banjir dan kebakaran. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, tim melaksanakan penyuluhan SPAB, pendidikan kebencanaan, pembentukan Tim Siaga Bencana Sekolah, simulasi tanggap darurat kebakaran, pemasangan jalur evakuasi, titik kumpul, kotak P3K, APAR, sirene, serta pembangunan Flood Early Warning System berbasis sensor ultrasonik dan energi surya yang dapat dipantau melalui telepon pintar.

Melalui program ini, FMIPA UNNES menyelenggarakan pelatihan dan program untuk meningkatkan akses masyarakat terhadap layanan dasar, khususnya layanan pendidikan yang aman, kesiapsiagaan bencana, sistem peringatan dini, dan perlindungan masyarakat dari risiko banjir maupun kebakaran. Pelatihan kebencanaan, simulasi evakuasi, pembentukan Tim Siaga Bencana Sekolah, serta penyediaan sarana mitigasi memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada guru, siswa, dan masyarakat agar mampu merespons keadaan darurat secara cepat dan tepat.

Selain meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat, program ini juga memperkuat ketahanan kawasan melalui penyediaan berbagai fasilitas mitigasi seperti titik kumpul, jalur evakuasi, perahu fiber, tenda evakuasi, kotak darurat, hingga sistem Flood Early Warning System (EWS) yang mampu memberikan peringatan dini ketika tinggi muka air mencapai ambang tertentu. Infrastruktur tersebut meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat dalam menghadapi bencana sekaligus menjaga keberlangsungan layanan pendidikan di wilayah rawan bencana. Program ini mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) terutama SDG 1 (Tanpa Kemiskinan) melalui peningkatan ketahanan masyarakat rentan terhadap bencana dan perlindungan akses terhadap layanan dasar, SDG 4 (Pendidikan Berkualitas) melalui implementasi Satuan Pendidikan Aman Bencana, SDG 11 (Kota dan Permukiman Berkelanjutan) melalui penguatan ketangguhan kawasan, serta SDG 13 (Penanganan Perubahan Iklim) melalui pengurangan risiko bencana berbasis teknologi dan pemberdayaan masyarakat.
