Semarang, 20 July 2026 – Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) conducted an ACQUIN Site Visit Simulation on Monday (20 July 2026) as part of its preparation for the upcoming international accreditation site visit by the Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN). The simulation aimed to ensure that all stakeholders fully understood the site visit process, interview procedures, and the information and evidence to be presented to the international review panel.
The simulation involved university leaders, members of the university management, faculty representatives, heads of study programmes, and the accreditation support team. The session was facilitated by Ir. Hendi Santosa, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., who provided comprehensive guidance on the site visit procedures, effective communication strategies during interviews, and key aspects requiring special attention throughout the accreditation process.
During the simulation, the university’s executive leadership participated from the UNNES Command Center, while representatives from the study programmes joined from the Digital Center Building. This arrangement reflected the planned format of the actual ACQUIN site visit, enabling all participants to rehearse their respective roles and coordination mechanisms under realistic conditions.
Throughout the simulation, participants engaged in a series of mock interview sessions designed to replicate the actual accreditation process. The discussions covered the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System, university governance, the execution of the three pillars of higher education (education, research, and community engagement), international collaboration, student support services, and the university’s commitment to continuous quality improvement. The readiness of supporting facilities, including information technology infrastructure and inter-unit coordination, was also evaluated.
Ir. Hendi Santosa, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. emphasised that success in achieving international accreditation depends not only on comprehensive documentation but also on the shared understanding of the university’s vision, mission, governance, and quality culture among all members of the academic community.
Through this simulation, UNNES expects all participants to be well prepared for the forthcoming ACQUIN site visit. The feedback and evaluations obtained during the exercise will serve as valuable input for further improvements, ensuring that the university is able to demonstrate its best practices in higher education management and reaffirm its strong commitment to continuous quality enhancement at the international level.
